Oczyszczanie i modyfikacja nanomateriałów węglowych

Abstract

Naszym głównym zainteresowaniem jest oczyszczanie i modyfikacja nanomateriałów węglowych, w szczególności wielościennych nanorurek węglowych.

Do chwili obecnej opracowaliśmy technologie oczyszczania nanorurek węglowych w skali laboratoryjnej i wielkolaboratoryjnej. Aktualnie prowadzimy prace nad różnorodną funkcjonalizacją nanorurek węglowych w skali laboratoryjnej. Dotyczy ona przyłączenia grup karboksylowych (-COOH), hydroksylowych (-OH) i aminowych (-NH2) do końców i ścian nanorurek węglowych.

Funkcjonalizowane nanorurki węglowe stanowią materiał wyjściowy do uzyskania nowoczesnych kompozytów polimerowych i metalicznych.

Nanokompozyty z domieszką funkcjonalizowanych nanorurek węglowych znajdują obecnie szerokie zastosowanie w różnych dziedzinach chemii (kataliza, nanosensory chemiczne, nowe źródła energii – baterie litowe, ogniwa paliwowe), nanomedycyny (nośniki leków, markery), elektroniki (źródła zimnych elektronów), inżynierii materiałowej (materiały wzmocnione mechanicznie o zwiększonym przewodnictwie elektrycznym i cieplnym, nanoceramika), w przemyśle lotniczym i motoryzacyjnym (lekkie, wytrzymałe materiały konstrukcyjne).

Proponowane przez naszą grupę rozwiązania są nowatorskie i konkurencyjne w skali kraju. Szczególnie interesują nas nanokompozyty o niskiej zawartości nanorurek węglowych, poniżej 1% wagowego.

Aktualnie, w ramach współpracy, proponujemy przygotowanie i dostarczenie różnorodnie funkcjonalizowanych chemicznie i fizycznie nanorurek węglowych w zależności od oczekiwanych właściwości nanokompozytu.
