Abstract

The present work is devoted to Pt- and Pd- containing catalysts, immobilised on Al-pillared montmorillonite (Al-MM) in the n-hexane hydroisomerization. Al-pillared montmorillonite was prepared with various ratio of Al3+/clay. Pt and Pd content was equal to 0,35%. Pt and Pd were introduced by impregnation using the H2PtCl6 and PdCl2 solutions. The metal species size control was carried out using the electron microscope EM-125K. It have been shown that the Pd- and Pt- containing catalysts with high dispersion of metallic species were obtained. The high dispersion is remained even after treatment at 4500C. The size of Pt species varies in the range 30-80Å and the majority of this species has the size of 30-40Å. The size of Pd-catalysts species is bigger (50-100Å). Conversion of n-hexane over the Pt- and Pd-catalysts was 58,1% and 29,3% at 3500C, respectively. Catalysts demonstrated the high selectivity to C6-isomers at temperatures from 250 to 4000C. The products of cracking were absent.
